We will co-ordinate the location & physical marking of power, gas, water, telecommunications & in fact any underground infrastructure. We will also arrange “stand overs” by the various Utility company’s where appropriate.

Unfortunately no. In some instances, reticulation drawings of underground services are not correct eg.—Original kerb lines upon which dimensions are based, may have changed; services shown as straight lines may not be so; two services may be laid one above the other & normal locates will detect the top service only. Due to these & similar inaccuracies, take note of the following extract from “ Guide for Safety with Underground Services 2002” as published by Occupational Safety & Health Service

“ In conjunction with location devices & plans, trial holes by careful hand excavation are essential before any excavation is commenced. Hand digging must continue until all services have been found. If there is any doubt as to where a service is located, stop work & consult with the service locator”
